Here are some wedding planner advices for my dear readers. As I wrote in my other post about wedding planner advices, I’ll give you some tips to plan your wedding. It’s not only about weddings on the French Riviera !
Once you have found the venue for the wedding, I recommend you to ask for opening and closing times. Some wonderful venues on the French Riviera accept weddings but they don’t want music after midnight. Sometimes, you’ll need to book the entire hotel for 3 nights. On the French Riviera, Le Mas de Pierre or Château Saint Martin do so ! Obviously it would have a huge impact on your wedding budget.
My second tip among my wedding planner advices is to take into account your desire about your wedding. Do you prefer a casual wedding ? Do you want to be closed to the sea if you plan to get married on the French Riviera for instance ? Do you want fireworks ? Do you wish ceremony and celebration in one place ? You should ask the venue for the wedding if they allow everything or what the limitations are.
The third point of my wedding planner advices deals with the wedding ceremony. Do not assume that you can get married where and when you want. Flowers for weddings are a relevant issue. Weddings on the French Riviera will give you a few tips about flowers for weddings. First you have to choose colors and colors have symbolic meanings; but with flowers for weddings, there is an additonnal significance depending on flowers.
For instance, if you choose pink roses for your wedding bouquet, it means continuous love. If you prefer sunflowers, your wedding bouquet would mean loyalty. Flowers for weddings are really different. Lavender is used to express tenderness. Ivy represents love for eternity.
Weddings on the French Riviera regret that purple lilacs aren’t often used : they illustrate strong love. What about lilly flowers ? They stand for pureness. Your wedding bouquet can be really amazing with pink tulip and peony. These flowers for weddings symbolise sincere love. To finish with, white roses are equal to perfect love.
Weddings on the French Riviera advice you to avoid hydrangea for your wedding bouquet. They mean vagary. Dog roses stand for faddish happiness and red buttercup are linked with reproach.
Blue is a famous color for everything except weddings ! I mean many of us love blue. Anyway regardin wedding decoration, few grooms and brides think about a blue wedding. What a pity !
Blue is a great color even if it’s said that blue is cold color. Sometimes blue can be really perfect to make the wedding decoration. Indeed, when I plan weddings on the French Riviera, some of them are on the beach. Weddings on the beach are really special. Blue is the ideal color for a wedding on the beach.
If you wish to do a blue wedding, I suggest you to use blue for flowers and for linen. Regarding linen, I prefer sky blue table cloth or turquoise with white chairs. Blue and white colors create a summery atmosphere, especially for weddings on the beach. The sea becomes a part of your wedding decoration. As George Clooney uses to say : “What’s else” !
What I prefer for a blue wedding is to choose beautiful dark blue flowers or sky blue flowers. Blue flowers give personnality to your wedding decoration.

It seems that this tradition about wedding is from Great Britain. But nowadays, every bride knows it in Europe. This European tradition about wedding deals with the bride. The bride has to wear something old, someting new, something with blue and something that she borrowed.
This tradition about wedding is symbolic. The bride wears something old to be linked with her family and her life before wedding. Usually it’s a jewel. The new item is to have chance for this new life. Often, brides decide to wear a new wedding dress. Next, the bride has to borrow something to another bride, who has been lucky with her wedding.
The blue item represents faithfullness.
In everybody’s mind, black is forbidden for a wedding. For many reasons, black is associated with death, sadness or evil. Anyway, others are gritty or scandalous when they plan their wedding. Some brides are in the mood of black wedding dresses. Personnaly, I’ve never organised a wedding on the French Riviera like this but I admit that some black wedding dresses are dashing !
Regarding black wedding cakes, my opinion is in favor of black wedding cakes. Sometimes brides are besotted with white. Some of my clients want to put white everywhere for their weddings on the French Riviera. Black wedding cakes often look better than traditionnal white wedding cake. More over, most of the guests love chocolate !
To conclude, I would say that black can be used for a wedding if you manage to mix it with another color such as white, pink or purple. What about you, would you dare black wedding dresses ?
Your wedding is definitely one of the most important day of your life. So don’t be shy and express your wishes. When I organise weddings on the French Riviera, my clients are sometimes too old line. Indeed, some brides don’t dare specific colors for their wedding. That’s a pity ! Once I showed them some pictures of wedding decoration, they obviously change their mind !!
Golden is one of my favourite colors for wedding. Whether it’s a shining gold or a matted gold, the result is perfect. Golden weddings give an unforgettable memory to your guests.
The wedding dresses can match with the golden wedding decoration. Matted golden wedding dresses are doubtless majestic. Especially if the bride is brown haired ! She will look like a princess but not in a childish way. Golden wedding dresses are much more mysterious and absolutely sexy ! Glossy golden wedding dresses will give to the bride an exotic or Indian look. Gold is the main point in an Indian wedding.
A golden wedding means to use as much as possible golden elements as possible and to mix gold only with white. Golden candelabrum, loads of candles, golden plates will be perfect for your golden wedding decoration. Natural wooden chairs and more generally use of wood with gold in the wedding decoration is avery good idea. Gold gives you magic and wood add authenticity to your wedding decoration.
