Dear readers, we will like to inform you that the offices of Events & Home will be closed from August 1st until 19th in order to give a rest to all our team. We have been involved in beautiful weddings with many foreigners clients and also corporate events all this year.
So Events & Home‘s team will just relax in order to be ready for the 3 other amazing weddings that will be held on September 2011 in Saint Tropez, Corsica and Saint Antonin du Var. Last weekend, we organized a vintage wedding in Provence. The venue was absolutely stunning: a beautiful castle with a terrace over viewing the sea, and a lovely garden. For this vintage wedding, most of the decoration was made of liberty. The table decoration was full of details: first of all, we winded ribbons of liberty around the napkins and we placed 5 candle-pots winded with liberty on each table. For the centerpiece, we used table-mats and flowers placed in jars and pots.
Each table number was written on a vintage label attached to an ancient key. Finally, each guest had a tiny jam pot recovered by liberty, and a spa towel with the initials of the married couple on his chair. The towels existed in various colours that we mixed around the table to bring a colorful touch to this wedding in Provence. The final touch was brought by beautiful chandeliers fixed to the trees!
Last saturday, Events and Home created a beautiful baroque decoration for a wedding. The venue was a romantic abbaye based in a parc, near Paris.
For this wedding decoration, the colours were red, black and white. In front of the abbaye, we arranged black and white tables, sofas and chairs to make a cosy and chic lounge area for the aperitive. The red touch was brought by some Orchidées in red flower pots. The seating plan was dispatched on 5 baroque frames, which we placed in the center of the lounge area, in a circle.
Last week, we organised a beautiful provencal wedding at les Baux de Provence for 100 guests. We were very pleased to organise this wedding, especially because 40% of the guests came from South Africa for this provencal wedding. It was a special occasion to do a very romantic decoration and to make them discover how to do a wedding at les Baux de Provence.
This provencal wedding took place in a very famous venue at les Baux de Provence. The place is well known because of its beautiful gardens and its perfect food. The reception room is usually used for seminars, so we have to do some decoration to make it more romantic.
Indeed, we put some traditional French fabric on the pillars outside on the terrace because they were not very nice, according to the bride’s tastes. The florist did also a great job using many different kind of flowers and candelabras. For this wedding at les Baux de Provence, we mixed very romantic and traditional items with much more modern ones.
As a matter of fact, you can see on the terrace a beautiful lounge area with modern white sofas and traditional French fabric. Continue reading
Last week, Events & Home organised a beautiful wedding on the French Riviera for a couple who lived in London. The bride is from Australia and a part of her family came for her wedding.
The bride and the groom asked Events & Home to organise their wedding on January 2011. So we did not have a lot of time to find the perfect venue for this wedding on the French Riviera. One of the guests, after the wedding, told me that everything was perfect and the venue represented exactly who the bride and the groom were.
Indeed, the venue is located between Cannes and Frejus. It is both sophisticated and friendly with an amazing garden and a beautiful view on the hillside and the sea. The bridal couple selected the venue without visiting it, because they trust Events & Home ! Continue reading
Last week, we organised a very beautiful wedding in Corsica for a very friendly and romantic bridal couple. In fact, the wedding took place in their property in Corsica and everything was perfect.
It was a real pleasure to organise this event with the two families and all the guests enjoyed the wedding. Most of them came from Great Britain, so they really appreciate the nice weather and the Corsican traditions !
Besides, we’re really pleased to receive a message from the groom and the bride when we were back at the office from this wedding in Corsica : « thank you once again for all your help, guidance and hard work. On June 2011, we will be very pleased to organise a beautiful wedding in a hotel in France for a bridal couple who lives in London. They really fall in love with this venue and this is the reason why I wish to show you some pictures of this hotel. It’s located at 50 min from Nice airport in the countryside. The gardens are beautiful and you can enjoy an aperitive around the swimming pool. There are also big terraces to welcome the dinner.

The hotel will be entirely privatized with 10 rooms dedicated to the guests. So you’ll be able to stay more than one night if you wish. Usually, one thinks about calling an event agency to organize a wedding but your baby’s Baptism organization also requires a lot of work and time!Guest list, mass times, florist, furniture rental, caterer, decoration… everything has to be perfect!
That is why, a mother called us to take care of her baby girl’s Baptism organization happening a Sunday of December.
First of all, we searched for caterers and then organized a tasting with the selected caterer for our client to be sure she was making the right choice.
Then, our client, the florist and us, collaborated to create the flower arrangement of the Church and the apartment. A wonderful flower arrangement in front of the Altar, a unique and enchanting tree on the principal buffet with a beautiful little replica on the second buffet and ravishing centerpieces … a real visual and olfactory delight!
The Baptism organization also implies decorating the room where the lunch takes place. Continue reading
