Where is located your French wedding planner ?

Many of our readers ask us us where we are located, as a French wedding planner, where we plan weddings ? Indeed, we have 2 offices, one in Paris and another one in Villeneuve Loubet, which is located between Cannes and Nice.  This is very important for us to have the 2 offices beacause our clients come from very different part of the world. Some of them want to get married on the French Riviera, other closed to Paris. Sometimes, we meet some clients in Paris, even if their weddings are on the South of France : if they live abroad and come to Paris for business, we manage to make an appointment.

That’s the reason why, many of our clients recomend us as a very professional and available French wedding planner. The relationship with the bridal couple is very important for us. The clients must feel confident with us and trust us. So, it happens that your French wedding planner work for weddings that are not in France. Last year, we planned a wedding in Italy and this year, we are going to Spain. Continue reading ‘Where is located your French wedding planner ?’

How to present the names of your guests : some advices from your French wedding planner !

Just before the diner, your guests expect to discover the table where they will sit for the dinner. As a French wedding planner, for every wedding this is a big question I have to deal with. Each bridal couple want to find a beautiful and original way to present the tables and the names of your guests.
First of all it depends on the number of guests. You are not going to do the same decoration for a 300 guests wedding compared to a wedding with 50 persons. Secondly, it has to be linked with the names of the table and the venue. Here are some examples, I liked.

This year I discover thanks to an American bride another way to present the names. As you can see, a good French wedding planner, also learns from her customers ! The wedding has a Provence touch because it was located in the Luberon in an amazing venue. The ceremony took place among wonderful gardens. During the cocktail, the guests had an unbelievable view on the vineyard of the venue. Then the dinner was located in a romantic courtyard with beautiful trees. The bridal couple chose French cities names from the south France. Given the fact that all the guests came from USA, Ireland and England, they really appreciated the idea. So, the bride put in small envelopes a tiny picture of one of the city. On the envelopes, she wrote the name of each guest. Then I suggested her a perfect place to fix all the small envelopes. When guests opened them, they find the pictures and look at the same ont the tables. Eventually they kept the pictures at the end of the wedding.

Last year, your favorite French wedding planner (lol) suggested to a French bridal couple this decoration. They get married in France but they both lived in London. Continue reading ‘How to present the names of your guests : some advices from your French wedding planner !’

A few words about your French wedding planner

If you read this blog, you’ll understand that my job is to plan wedding for my customers. As a French wedding planner, I would like to explain to you how I work and above all give you some ideas about the cost ! That’s true there are many wedding planner and the way they work are different. So how do I work and why do my client choose Events & Home consulting rather than other companies ?

The first reason why my clients trust in me is because of my fees ! I am not the less expensive of the market but I am part of the most transparent companies in the wedding business. Indeed, my fees are fixed and not linked with the budget of your wedding. As a French wedding planner , I don’t take any percentage of the global budget, neither on the suppliers’ proposals. My job is to negotiate for your the best price from every provider. That’s why I ask fees which are not linked with the suppliers. My fees are fixed; there is no extra cost.

The second reason is that I am not only a French wedding planner ! With Events & Home consulting, I am in charge of planning corporate events also. We work with many companies in order to help them doing unique and customised events such as launching, seminary, … That’s important to know because we are not fed up with weddings. We are working on 15 or 20 private events maximum. So, we are very pleased to involve oursleves and take care of every single detail.

Last but not least, I didn’t decided one morning to be a French wedding planner. I have been working for 5 years in the event business before creating Events & Home consulting. So I learned my job thanks to wonderful event I worked on. My customers appreciate my knowledge of the job.

First of all, one of the parties to be married has to have lived in the town you want to get married in, for at least 40 days before the marriage. Then, you will need to announce the marriage ten days before it takes place, in a local newspaper or by a publication in the City Hall. Beware of the delays, some city halls take between 4 and 6 weeks to process an application.

You will also need several documents to file your intent to get married in France:

  • a copy of the birth certificate. You can request it from the city hall in the town you were born.

  • a certificate of celibacy, dating at the most from 3 months.

  • an affidavit of law. It must be certified by a Consulate Officer. This document certifies that you are free to get married in France and that the marriage will be recognized in your country.
