Blue is a famous color for everything except weddings ! I mean many of us love blue. Anyway regardin wedding decoration, few grooms and brides think about a blue wedding. What a pity !
Blue is a great color even if it’s said that blue is cold color. Sometimes blue can be really perfect to make the wedding decoration. Indeed, when I plan weddings on the French Riviera, some of them are on the beach. Weddings on the beach are really special. Blue is the ideal color for a wedding on the beach.

If you wish to do a blue wedding, I suggest you to use blue for flowers and for linen. Regarding linen, I prefer sky blue table cloth or turquoise with white chairs. Blue and white colors create a summery atmosphere, especially for weddings on the beach. The sea becomes a part of your wedding decoration. As George Clooney uses to say : “What’s else” !
What I prefer for a blue wedding is to choose beautiful dark blue flowers or sky blue flowers. Blue flowers give personnality to your wedding decoration.

Very often, brides and grooms want to make their wedding different from others. But they feel puzzled regarding the best decoration for their wedding on the French Riviera or somewhere else ! So I decide to help all my readers by giving them some wedding decoration trends. The first point is to choose the main color of the wedding decoration. Once, you have decided which color you wish …I give you some ideas and wedding decoration trends. Let’s begin with a pink wedding !

Obviously first there is the wedding dress. When the wedding decoration is linked with the bride groom …that is perfect ! You don’t need to wear a pink wedding dress. You just need to add accessories like flowers or a specific hairstyle. When I organise a wedding on the French Riviera, I recommend that the groom has got also a colorful discreet accessory (tie or buttonhole for instance).

For the wedding ceremony, Events & Home consulting suggests to mix pink flowers with white, cream or light orange colors. White is for the romantic time, pink refers to love and orange gives light and cheerfulness. Instead of flowers, be inventive and choose stunning items like these pink sunshades !

In order to customize your wedding decoration, you should take care of the table decoration. Continue reading ‘The most beautiful pink wedding I’ve ever seen !’
Let’s be honest : sometimes it happens that guests are getting bored at a wedding party. Weddings are often the same with no suprise! Customised wedding decoration makes your wedding different obviously. Anyway, it’s not enough! One new trend in weddings is to set up many sample stations rather than one never ending dinner.
Every station has to be thematic. I suggest to link the keynote to the bride and the groom. For instance, if you get married on the French Riviera, a wine and a cheese station is a must have. Why don’t you hire a sommelier to provide some explanations to your guests ?
As humans, we’re getting bored quickly. So create an event in the event istself. You should set up some fleetingly stations. Based on the happy hour concept, you should do a « mojito time » during 30 min, following by a « champagne time ».
It seems that there are 3 main trends in wedding decoration regarding colors.
The big first one deals with silver or grey shades. Basically, grey replaces chocolate as the accent color for a wedding party. Why dont’ you choose a pale-grey wedding dress ? Grey is beyond a doubt an elegant color. Use grey linen for tables, add some silver painted branches and lay down some rhinestones. Tables will look stylish and trendsetter.

The second trend in wedding decoration is a summery color :Yellow is in vogue too ! For a day time wedding, I suggest bright colors and a mix with white and yellow. The tables can be dressed with white linen and sunflowers centerpieces. Wooden chairs or white chairs with yellow tulle are in good taste. If the wedding takes place by night, I recommend lemon and chocolate.

I read an interesting post on Forbes that dealt with the lubies of celebrities for their weddings. Oviously it was an economic viewpoint but it drew my attention to the importance of logistics in a wedding. When Madonna got married with Guy Ritchie, she spent $ 2,100,000. $ 293,000 were dedicated to champagne, $ 58,000 to flights and they needed $219,000 to rent the whole castle (and its 47 rooms). The celebrity wedding had a positive impact on the turism since then.

Catherine Zeta Jones was looking for a simply and intimate wedding party. She chose the Plaza in NYC (”down home”) and she spent $ 1,500,000 as the new Mrs Douglas. Her wedding lubies were clear : a choir of 40 members and only 20,000 creeam coloured roses. Continue reading ‘The wedding lubies’
