The VAT on food is now 5.5% instead of the existing 19.6% on your wedding French catering menus.
What does it mean?
For your wedding party, you will pay less your wedding catering menus! This new VAT will be used by the caterers on their menus but alcohols and waiters extra hours are still subjected at 19.6% VAT.
It will definitely help to defend the job in the profession and struggle against black economy. Hope the French caterer will respect the new rule and implement it on their wedding catering menus.
