Dear Maddy

If your friends planned to do a religious wedding, it's quite easy if they can prove they are legally married in their country. If they want to get married at the city hall of a French town, they need to prove their residency in France during almost 2 months prior the wedding. But as you live in France, you can help them. You can change one invoice you have for your house (I mean electricity or phone for instance) and put the name of your friends + c/o and your name.It can work. For more details, you can also read this post: http://www.weddingsonthefrenchriviera.com/wedding-planning-advice/how-to-get-married-in-france/

Hello,

I have some friends who would like to get married in France. I am currently a resident in France, and having got married last year, I understand how difficult all the paperwork is. However, for non-residents, can my friends actually get married in France? Any information and advice would be great.

Many thanks,
Maddy
